VXI makes headsets for telephones, computers, Microsoft Office Communicator, speech recognition and many more applications. The VXI V100 wireless headset works on most telephones and requires the L50 handset lifter for remote answer of the call. All VXI headsets come equipped with a high quality noise canceling microphone. VXI tops are designed to work with both amplifiers such as the Everon and in direct connect applications. Direct Connect applications preclude the use of an amplifier. Phones with this capability provide a direct connect headset port. This port bypasses the telephone handset altogether. VXI direct connect cords come in a variety of part numbers depending on the phone manufacturer. The Tria 'DC' (Direct Connect) is used on telephones that provide a direct headset connect. Usually, the 'headset port' is either on the side or bottom of the phone and will be labled with a picture of a headset. Direct Connect cords come in a variety of types based on the telephone being used. For instance, the 1026 cord is a generic cord that works on most direct connect applications while the 1029 cord is specific for Avaya telsets.
