Headset tops
A complete headset has two parts; 1) the top (actual headset) and 2) the bottom (the device or cord that plugs into your phone or computer. This category deals with just the tops.
Headset tops come in four categories; 1) Binaural (two ear), 2) Monaural (one ear), 3) Ear Hook (over the ear) and 4) Convertible.
Convertible tops are those that can be changed from over the head to over the ear. They give the customer a choice as to which 'style' they want.
Both Plantronics and Jabra GN make their headset tops in either Noise Canceling or non-noise canceling (voice/sound tubes.
 Binaural tops have two ear cushions and are used in high noise environments

 Monaural or single ear headsets are the most commonly used. The ear cushion can be worn on either ear.

 Convertible tops give the user a choice of wearing styles that range from over the head to over the ear or behind the neck.

 Ear hook headsets are the most light weight and comfortable for the user.
